Endless oil leaksm HELP!

I have a 1996 honda accord 4 cyl vtech. Like my last post, I have spent close to 3K in repairs fixing heater core, AC, inspection, but my main concern was oil leaks on either side of the engine. I have so far had replaced the below oil seals. The man who worked on my car is trustworthy

- all seals around timing belt cover
- valve cover seal
- the latest was the oil pan seal and the seal between the engine and transmission.

He ran the car for a full hour, no drips, top of the engine has no oil present so he doesnt thinks its any seal up there.

I went out today after driving around, and there was a drip of oil on the passanger side, I drove to Home Depot, and another oil drip.

Did he miss any oil seals on the passanger side? It has been raining here in PA, is it possible that the water is splashing up on the engine and causing past oil to drip down?

Thanks!

Also the distrib oil seal as well

140k miles

Is it engine oil? Maybe it's transmission oil?

You say the "seal" between engine & transmission. Do you mean the rear main seal was replaced? That's the seal around the crankshaft and it requires the trans to be removed. Otherwise there is no "seal" between the engine & trans.

First, thanks jim.

Sorry, I DID have the rear main seal replaced, the trans was removed and it was replaced.

It is def engine oil. The trans fluid is pink and this is light brown.

The oil is dripping from the passanger lower control arm, right where it connects to the frame of the car

Power Steering fluid or differential fluid are about only possibilities. I don't think motor oil can leak that far to RH side. Nothing carrying oil at that position.

good luck

When the oil leaked to the ground, it had the rainbow color to it in water.

Would power steering fluid or differential fluid do the same thing?

Not sure about PS fluid, I suppose it would float on water & do that rainbow thing. But the total inventory of PS fluid is much smaller, so you'll notice the reservoir level going down.

No such thing as differential fluid, the diff & trans is all together in one case.

WHATEVER is leaking, it can drip down & blow around because of the wind generated by the car's motion. You might need to clean it up to find where it's really coming from.
