Default Engine Oil Cover Cracked.....REPAIRABLE ?

The oil cover on my honda has cracked from a accident. i had some one repair it, by sealing the crack with with a type mix that turns into a type of metal bond and can hold in high heat temps.
Now i was told that it would be fine being that this area where the crack is, the oil dose not sit high an that hot. I have not ran the car yet it is still int he process of being fixed.

I WANT TO KNOW if this seems ok. here is a picture i took off the internet of my engine and i highlighted the area where the crack was. it was very minor maybe a finger nail size.

Depending on what they are using (what compound) and how good they are at it that repair should be fine. It's just the valve cover that's cracked (according to your picture) and althought it does get fairly warm I have seen some of those metal type compounds used to repair radiators with great results. As long as the person doing it uses a good quality stuff and knows what they are doing then that repair should be fine. Or just buy a new valve cover they aren't that expensive.
