Engine starting issue...should I worry?

Recently my car (wagon 1995) has developed this problem. If the engine is hot, it only starts after the beeps are over. You turn the key into II, wait for the beeps to pass and then crank the engine and it starts. When it is cold starts at once. I cleaned the contacts on the battery. What is this and should I worry and take it to the shop?

Sounds like an ignition switch problem. If it is, you would want to change ASAP, as the car can stall on you while driving.

There is a very good video on diagnosing and replacing the switch, I'll see if I can find it.
