engine vin location

Hi,

I'm trying to find the engine vin, but am having a hard time finding it. Is it easily visible while installed in the car with all the accesories?

forgot to specify. 97 accord, 2.2L non-vtech, automatic transmission.

On the engine block, left of exhaust manifold (etched in)
