hey all i own a 98 accord coupe lx 4cl. And i was wondering if the v6 can beat out the prelude?

is there a page where i can see specs on the two? cant seem to find it

 

The Prelude is quicker, especially in 5-speed.

Weight = both around 3000
Lude = 5-speed V6 = auto only
Lude = shorter gears v6 = suck a$$ failure prone auto tranny
Lude = 190hp (usdm) V6 = 200 (loses lots of power through drivetrain)
Lude = highly upgradable V6= upgradable, yet expensive.
Torque = V6

 

I wonder how it would do against the V-6 6 speed Accord?

 

well the prelude actually runs a 4 cyl. h22..... yea and its 0-60 is about 7 flat. so the v6 6speed should be able to toast it.

Well my bf has a 92 prelude SI 5 speed. I have been dying to play with him but hes doesnt want too. Until we do I will keep you guys posted (which will be soon)

Test drove the v6 6speed....... omg........... that thing was so amazing you cant even slightly rev it when going into first without the tires chirping...... i fell in love that day........ and my wallet hates me...... nuf said.......

 

I feel the same way. Ever since i got my accord I am loving it. I'm so glad that Honda decided to make the V6 in manual transmission. I originally wanted my first car with Honda a V6 with manual but they didnt make it (that was in 2001). So i settled with my four banger manual but now with my new car, cant get enuff of it.[sm=drooldude.gif] Im a happy camper.

 

at least you have a standard........ in order for me to have a standard i have to go through a hellish process to unmount, remount, and so on..... it makes baby jesus cry....... but at least i found an awesome write up on the whole process of making the swap

I hardly view wanting to drive a standard tranny as being greedy, and my goals are high but my budget is veeeeery very small
