fender rubing problems

i have just put on some 19" wheels wrapped in some falken 235-35-19 tires. i lowered my 03 accord a littl with a brand new set of nex gt coilover suspension kit. im constantly rubbing the back tire on the fenders when im either turning up a hill, or taking a turn to fast, or going over the littles dip on a road. is this common?, i figured that i wouldnt rub that much after i had put the coilover/suspension kit. is this really common?, i lowered the back of the car down to about 1 and half inches above the rear tire. so is this common?.....or is there a way that i can stop the rubbing?...................also, im starting to hear like metal thumping or rattling comming from both sides of the rear suspension. it sounds like the coilovers......anyone else have these problems?

RE: fender rubing problems

My friend had the same issue with his Accord. He also had 19's. He got his rear fenders rolled....problem solved! By the way, you from Hawaii? What part?

the other option is to get better shocks (if you still have stock) and if that doesn't resolve it you can always get stiffer springs, you'll lose some ride quality but it'll vastly improve your handling....

cheap coilovers tend to behave in the manner you describe. Make sure they were installed properly.

I m new here & am not sure how to start a new question on this subject---please bear with me.
I just mounted aftermarket aluminum wheels on my 92 LX wagon with a bit larger tires than stock.
The rear tires are rubbing the fender at every little bump.
Is stiffer suspension the answer & if so, how do I go about that? Or should I lift the rear end up an inch or so, & how would I accomplish that?
