FI main relay location
 

Gents:

I have a 92 EXsedan that needs to have the main relay replaced, but I can't find its location! Haynes manual says "left side under dashboard", and the online factory accord manuals are of less help.

suggestions?

Thanks for the info, did mine today after procrastinating since last summer!
Searching for mainrelaydefine in google found me some good illustrated pages through links.

What a miserable job!! Could they have put in a harder spot to change!! Had to take the cruise control metal housing out, and the main relay was located above it. Then sure enough there were some large wire bundles in the way. Took me a while, some skinned knuckles and creative flashlight holding, but it got done. Having another hand or two would have helped!
I left the grey relay cover in, just took the inside part out then inserted the new one.
The car started after I was done! Hopefully my no starts in the hot weather are a thing of the past!

I found on my former 90Ex (same as your location) that it was much easier to use extensions to remove the 10mm bolt holding the bracket to the body and drop the entire bracket and relay down to allow easier access to release the connector. Use a piece of paper towel to jam the bolt in 10mm socket to allow easy installation.
