Flashing D4 light and TCS light on - 2001 Accord
When the car is cold in the morning and I first start out the car shifts hard into 2nd gear and the D4 light flashes and the TCS light is lit. When it warms up and I shut the car off and restart it everything is fine.
Can anybody help? |
Have AutoZone or someplace like that read the error code - get the number; it's something like P1234.
I suspect that you'll only get the transmission error. You might have to go to the dealer to scan for the TCS error(s). |
What would cause the D4 light to not come on at all? The other shift lights work fine with no flashing.
|
His flashes, yours doesn't come on at all? Sounds like a different problem.
Maybe a burned-out lamp? If not, you ought to make a new thread, because it isn't the same as this thread. |
Yep it doesn't come on at all. Even after turning the ignition key all the way or when the car is driving. I just noticed it yesterday.

faulty light displays around D4 gear and sometimes others - you should get the guys to check your inhibitor switch may need cleaning up or replacing. if its flashing around d4 - tranny check light get a diagnostic test done.
