Fluctuating RPMs
I have a 94 EX 2.2L w/ manual trans, and latley when i start my car the RPMs will be running at 2000 but as soon as i hit the acceleator pedal they fall back to 750 and then fluctuate from 750 to 2000 until normal operating temp. Im thinking it could be a vaccum leak. Any ideas? Thanks!

RE: Fluctuating RPMs
Be sure you are full of coolant and block burped thru the 12m bleed screw at the T-stat housing.
2nd would be to open the top of the FITV and turn the nylon 'split screw' in a couple turns or until no air by passes when the engine is warmed up. |
RE: Fluctuating RPMs
coolant level is good and the system has no air pocket in it

RE: Fluctuating RPMs
take the idle control valve off, clean the screen and valve with throttle body cleaner

RE: Fluctuating RPMs
on top of those suggestion,, make sure that there are no vacc leaks, chk to see if the adjustment screw has backed out , turn the screw in see if that helps
