Just out of curiosity, let's say you got all this pulled apart but the new pipe didn't want to go inside the hose coming out of the fuel tank. Would you use a silicon lubricant on it or something else? I can never remember which to use when

Myself, I use hand cleaner without pumice in it. Works well for sliding rubber over steel. A little on both surfaces will be enough.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who commented on this thread. Got it all back together and running again. The 90 lives to see another day
