fuel pump replacement

Ihave a 1993 Accord EX 4dr sedan, I am wanting to know if there is an access cover inside the car to access the fuel pump for replacement without having to drop the tank. Also is there a way to test the fuel rail for air in the fuel rail. This car is making sounds like it is starving for fuel and sometimes is hard to start. Fuel tank is full and engine runs but sometimes spits and sputers and stops running.

RE: fuel pump replacement

There should be an access for it in the trunk under all the carpet. At least there is in 1994+...

Air in the fuel rail... you should bleed the system. You can do that by loosening the banjo bolt WITH A RAG WRAPPED AROUND IT and turning the car on to II and let the pump run. Fuel will spray EVERYWHERE if you're not careful about it.
