Fuel tank leak

New owner of a 2005 4-door, 118K miles. Fuel leak with obvious dripping from the area around the shrouding below fuel tank. Far as I can tell, this is after topping the tank. No obvious leakage when tank was 1/2 full. Anyone have experience with this? Finding it hard to believe the tank is leaking, but guess anything is possible. It’s been a northeast car where road salt is a way of life.

Welcome. Years ago had a friend with the same leak gas only when full problem.
He just didn't fill tank beyond the leak point.

Corrosion in the seam around the middle of the tank? Not sure if anyone makes some kind of sealant, but it seems to me the real fix is a new tank.

But first, I'd rule out any of the hoses & connections around the top of the tank. Like maybe where the fill-pipe attaches to the tank?

If I remember right, 7th gen Accords got a plastic tank, which means it shouldn't be rusted. However, there are a few things that plug into the top of the tank that could have lost their seal. Yup, you'll need to do more investigating of where the leak is. Maybe use your cell phone to take pics of areas you can't really see, as a way to eliminate them (my son does that all the time for areas he can't see straight on).
