HELP, 2007 7th gen Accord sedan trunk won't open anymore

Hello,

So, I was on vacation with the car and i stuffed some beers in to the already pretty full trunk, the trunk lid closed quite easily. But when i wanted to open it again directly after it didn't. All my camping stuff and clothes are in there. We drove home because we didn't have a place to sleep.

So, How do I open the trunk?

When using the keyfob or the button on the trunk itself you hear the mechanism moving but nothing opens. When using the handle near the driversside door nothing happens either. Using the trunk lock on the driversside also doesnt do anything. We tried pushing down on and pulling up the trunk while using the different opening methods. Nothing seems to work.

Accessing it though the backseats would be nice but the back seats fold down with latches that are IN the trunk, which we cant access. Any advice of how to get my stuff back?!

Thanks in advance!

I think you can use your key to release the back seats on the speaker deck inside the car.

I have an 08 accord. The back seat has a pull out center cup holder and behind that a keyed door. Perhaps yours is similar and you can access that way.....

I have an 06 accord sedan it has a lever beside the driver side seat on the floor board that opens the trunk. If that won't work . Someone mentioned the opening behind the armrest in the back seat. If you can get that open there is a emergency trunk release fastened to the deck with the speakers on it it has a t shaped handle . That might work ???? Of course all this is based on my 06 accord . GOOD LUCK
