Default Sunspots on a Black Accord

On my 1997 Honda Accord LX (Black), I have sunspots on the roof of my car, and somewhere on the trunk lid. What can be done to take care of these, if it doesn't cost a whole lot ($500&lt? How much work would need to be done, and if possible, could be done at home?
Thanks!

Default RE: Sunspots on a Black Accord

I don't mess with body work [can't stand the smell of paint]
From the description it sounds like the clearcoat is coming off.
I'd guess you could get it sanded down and reshot with paint, and then be sure they put a clearcoat sealer on it.
