Help identifying part, and possible A/C issue, Pic included.
 

Just a quick question. Can someone please tell me what this part is, and what it does? I think it might be emission related, but Im not sure. I accidentally unplugged the air hose while installing an amp wire and it made a loud hiss while releasing all the air out. And I dont know if its related or not, but I also changed my cabin air filters at the same time, and now my AC isnt as cool as it was before. I made sure everything is connected, and that the filters were put in correctly. So the only thing I could think of was the part in the pic releasing the air and causing an AC issue? I know its probably unrelated, but I figured here was a good place to ask. Thanks

Looks to be the vacuum tank which is used for the cruise control actuator.

I thought the tank for the cruise moved to the drivers fender......

Anyway, you were in the area of the heater control valve. Be sure it is closing off all the way, could have moved is in such a way that it isn't closing off allowing hot coolant to flow into the heater core - fighting the "cooling" of the ac system.

The location of the vacuum tank for an automatic is different than where it is for a manual transmission.

Auto vs manual...ok fine......But my question about the heater control valve/cable still stands.
