This part leaks sometimes. I have no idea what it is or what its leaking. I bought the Haynes service manual but cant seem to locate what the part is. It does have a picture of it though. I have included some pictures of what im trying to identify.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance.

by the way only the front right one is leaking.

What year, model (ex-l, ex, etc...), engine (4/6 cyl), transmission (at/mt) do you have?

2001 Honda accord ex 4 cylinder manual tranny.

You circled part looks to be a busing in the sub frame and it looks like you have a photo of both the front and back. Not an item that can leak. The closes leaking item in your photo I see to your circled part is the steering rack which is number seven in the photo of the front suspension.

What color is the fluid that is allegedly leaking?

the pictures you gave are that of a v6 accord. not sure if their suspension is very different or not. the front appears to be a leak from the steering rack, however it can still be oil leaking and running down to those points. do you loose oil? best bet is clean that engine bay and sub frame really good and then keep an eye out for where its really coming from.

thanks for the responses guys. Ya, its just the front right one that is leaking. almost seems like its just water, but it hasnt rained in a couple weeks. Very strange. no oil is being lost or anything that i know of. My master cylinder requires probably more than the average top up. could it be hydraulic fluid from either the braking mechanism or tranny?

Right front, looks like water? Is the rad full. Does the "fluid" smell or feel slick. Also be sure it isn't just the AC drain that you are seeing, pretty sure that on an '01 it is in that area as well.

could be the AC i suppose. It has been hot here for a while so i have been using it everyday.

Wipe the fluid with a white cloth, so you can tell what color it is. Probably just water dripping from the air conditioner (normal). Do you see the end of a hose above/in front of that area (A/C drain hose)?
