High RPMs and strange idle
So I've got a 93 with a transplanted F22A1 with an automatic. I'm having some issues with shifting and RPMS. The car idels down just fine on warm up, and shifts great (a little hard to D3 sometimes, but eh..). If I'm down the highway for a bit 15 miles or so, and pull up somewhere to park, it idles up all the way to 1500 to 2K, and wont' come back down. This in turn is making it shift out of park hard. I know these trannys shift pretty hard anyway, but this seems excessive. I dont' think I've got any vacuum leaks, as we checked/replaced lines while putting the motor in. I'm not getting any codes from the TCU or the ECU. Anyone got any ideas on this?

RE: High RPMs and strange idle
Look for air pockets in cooling system. Bleeder valve near thermostat housing.
Make sure throttle closes ALL THE WWY. Cable must have a little slack. |
