Higher rpm's after used transmission installed

I had a used tranny installed in my 95 accord 135,000 miles. My concern is that when I hit 70 on the highway my rpm would be around 2,500 now when I reach 70 my rpm gauge reads 3,200. Does this mean it was installed incorrectly? Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

Sounds like the pressure lever cable is out of adjustment.
The cable that is hooked up to the throttle and goes down to the lever on the front of the trans housing.
I should be adjusted as such:
Back off the 12mm locking nuts and adjust to the point of having slack in the cable, then start to tighten the adjuster so that when you open the throttle and the RPM just barely increases; the pressure lever just barely moves up.
then snug up the locking nut.
DRIVING TEST:
Going along a smooth level road, light throttle at 25 mph, then put the gas to the floor.
The trans should downshift to first gear.
Repeat the same drive, however now at 28 mph. When you floor the gas the trans will downshift to second gear.
Then you should be adjusted correctly to get 'lockup' at highway speed.
