Honda Accord 1999 ECT sensor specs

Hi All,

Where can I find temperature/resistance r'ship for the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor in engine F20B6 my Honda Accord 1999 2.0i VTEC is equipped with? It is normally connected to the ECU, however I'm trying to figure out a temperature gauge to connect it to instead (assuming such gauge exists at all). This is for fully independent ECT monitoring in a different car w/o ECU.

Afaik the ECT sensor in question is Honda part 37870-PDA-E01 (dual pin one):

I cannot find its detailed specifications anywhere. The reason it was chosen is thread M12x1.5, which I already have a female socket for. If there are other sensors with the same thread that are more suitable for my task it'd be really helpful to learn about those, ideally along with their temperature/resistance r'ships.

Many thanks in advance,

Dmitriy

Found enclosed graph in 1994 Accord manual. It should be similar, or you could buy this part to know what you have. The 98-02 shop manual did not have same graph.

good luck

TexasHonda:

Thanks a lot! Btw is it a Honda prop or vendor independent standard, e.g. something like American and VDO resistance gauges/senders in marine industry?

Many thanks,

D.

Sorry, I don't know if it meets any standard.

good luck
