Honda Accord 2000, tachometer and speedometer stuck below resting peg

not sure what happened, we had some battery issues, and recently replaced our battery, after figuring out the radio code,

i noticed that the tachometer and speedometer are now below the resting peg, seems like they went all the way around.

All other meters are working, but the tachometer and speedometer seem to work, they just cant get past the bottom resting peg. Both the tachometer and speedometer move from straight down, almost 6 o'clock position to the 0 speed position under the peg when i turn the key, but they stay there until i turn the car off.

Anyone know of a fix?

You may have to remove the cluster, take it apart, then lift the needles over the peg? Be careful not to break/damage the needles.

after searching the forum and searching google, i discovered that if i clean the corrosion and unplug the battery and replug it in, it corrected itself. done 8) easy fix

Interesting...
We'll have to remember that for the newer (ECU-driven) clusters.
