Honda Repair Charlotte NC
Hey Gang,
First let me thank all those that make this possible - awesome. My son has moved to Charlotte, NC and drives a 97 1/2 Accord 4cyl LX Auto. Since he is NOT mechanically inclined when it comes to car repair, we have been trying to find a good Honda mechanic in his area - just South of Charlotte. He calls and says there is something leaking out of the front - I say it may be the radiator and tell him to find a place to get it looked at. Yesterday the car won't start, was towed and is getting repaired at Scott Clark Honda. New radiator and fan with new Honda parts $1,253.xx - after market $805. We are hoping to find a reputable non dealer. Any help you can provide on this front would be great. The car has about 105k on it.
Thanks,
Mike

Most repairs/problems on Hondas can be handled by an independent shop, so try to find a good shop. Yelp is an another option to search for a shop and you may find one that specializes in Honda/Acura.
One "normal" repair on Hondas that is not typical is the front rotor replacement.

I am from Charlotte.
THE BEST Honda mechanics and the most reasonable prices are at:
Compact Car Service
6177 East Independence Blvd.
Charlotte 28212
704-567-7797
Compact Car Service
Johnny is one of the owners and he is the best. These guys are the REAL DEAL. I have had my car to them for many different things and even just called for advice. I HIGHLY recommend them and you will be very happy with their honesty and good work. I have live in Charlotte for 15 years and will always take my Honda to them.

Much obliged for your all's feed back. Bill came to $803 and the car is running again. Amazing how some kids (23 yr old kid) have such little car knowledge. "I get in and it should start". He's been lucky to have this Honda for the last 3 1/2 yrs. Took it from 66k to over 105k with little work needed - timing belt last year was the first repair/maintenance beyond changing out the old Z1 ATF and oil changes. Again, thanks for the insight and feedback.
The unbelievable - 14 yr old car with 66k IN NYC/Yonkers. First 10yrs showed 30k miles on the autocheck report - amazingly little rust/corrosion under the hood and zero on the body save for a nick in the paint on the hood. BTW it cost $3,900 on an ebay auction.
Regards,
Mike
