Honda SL3 bypass module
 

Hey guys, i need some help with finding a couple of wires. I am installing a remote start on my 2000 honda accord ex, and the bypass module is needing to connect a couple of wires to the data and synchro wires on plug located on back of ignition. My problem is that I have two plugs on the back side of ignition and 1 is 4 pin and 1 is 5 pin. The 5 pin is supposedly where the manual says to find the wires but the colors are not as described. As it is telling me I need to cut the data wire and splice wires on the plug and switch side I want to make sure I am correct. I cannot get any support being its the weekend, so hoping someone here might have some knowledge about this. Of course as always, I appreciate any help.

Please, I really need some help even though it's not car specific. I know I'm dealing with a 3rd party piece of hardware, but I also know there is someone here that can answer me.

Looking at the Honda SL3 bypass module installation instructions and comparing to Honda circuit diagrams, the wires they are referring to are at the connector to the Immobilizer receiver unit.

On the Accord, it should be a 5-P connector (with 4 wires) that plugs into the Immobilizer receiver unit. Terminal no. 5 cavity would be empty.

On the connector:
Terminal no. 1 - Yel/Blk wire (Ignition power - Hot in ON or start)
Terminal no. 2 - Red wire (Immobilizer code input) ~ appears to be called Data for SL3 bypass
Terminal no. 3 - Blu wire (Immobilizer enable) ~ appears to be called Syncro for SL3 Bypass
Terminal no. 4 - Brn/Blk (Ground to G101)
Terminal no. 5 - Not used.

That makes more sense, because the colors in the 4 pin connector match up. I know you probably had to spend some time investigating this, because I have looked all over for information. I feel much better about making that cut now. Your time and reply are much appreciated. I owe ya one...Thank you greatly!

I also forgot to ask before about locating the door lock and unlock wires under the dash. The diagram I found showed it to be a 20 pin green connector. The only 20 pin I found was on back side of fuse box. Again the colors were not correct and testing the pins proved it was not the right one. I have it jumped directly to the door lock right now just to see if would work and does. But I really don't want to run cabling if I can find it under dash.

On the front of the passenger side fuse/relay box, it is Connector F, a 20-P Lt. green connector. It is the top most connector on the fuse/relay box.

Door locks are negative trigger (-).

Door Lock - Terminal no. 3 (Blk/Blu wire)
Door Unlock - Terminal no. 7 (Orn wire)

LX model is easier, as there is a 2-P connector just for the door locking and unlocking for the optional security system on the driver's side.
