Horn problem
i have a 95 accord lx 2.2. my horn stopped working a little while ago so today i decided to investigate it a little bit. The horns themselves work i connected them both to my battery and they sounded. The fuse is brand new and the steering wheel button clicks. What could be the problem? horn switch?
Look for a horn relay in the fuse box panel...Have a friend push the horn button while you listen carefully to the relay...It should click. If not, then I would change the relay.
when i hit the horn button i hear it click
Check the power and ground wire to the horn.
Next, take a test light and check for power on the horn wiring before the horn connector. Have somebody push the horn button while you are testing the power from the relay to the horn.
the test light is only working on one of the connectors, and that one is always hot. the the other one does not light up when the horn is pressed
It use the other wire to complete the circuit which is ground, when you push on the horn it should give you a ground. Check it for ground.
to add to piggy's post-the LT GRN/BLU wire should be ground when the button is pressed....allowing the ground to flow from the BLK to the BLU/RED which is the ground at the horns.....this does have SRS, correct?
Best way to check is by using a volt meter, because a test light will light up with only a few volt.
