how to check CELs

I have a h22a4 in my 97 accord running a OBD1 Phearable.net ECU. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to check the CELs

thanks

as long as you reconnected all the wiring you should still have the blue connector under the passenger side dash just like any other obd1

oh so that connector will still work? I was under the impression it wouldnt, my car is OBD2 tho, its just the ECU thats OBD1. so should i just stick a paper clip in those wires and watch the flashing CEL?
