Engine stops when goes from revs to ideling.
I have Honda Accord 1.8 vtec 2001. It start from a first turn, then runs on ideling with no problem. But once it warm up when you take the feet of the throtle it just dies, but if I push started it while it still on the moove it starts and put the revs up in two stages first to 500 then to operating 750 and run with no problem untill I toch the throtle again. Spurk plugs are black if runs on ideling, but onece I give it a go it is normal color. When I was checked for emition it barrely went through.
Any suggestions???
Thank you in advance. Olek

What do you mean about black spark plugs at idle then normal color? Something is lost in translation.
Does the check engine light turn on while driving? You should have engine codes read anyway.
Are the maintenance items up to date, like spark plugs, etc?

By black when ideling I ment that after a wile of ideling it cams to be black brom normal braun color - so mixture rich on ideling but O.k. when on revs.

Mine when I put gas on it and reach 4- 5k rpm from idle (P or N) then when I let go the gas totally, the rpm will go straight down until engine stop, it will not stay on idle (750 rpm). Then I try with AC but this time engine will not die but it will sluggish lil bit then it will idle normal.
It not concerned me much coz I didn’t experience this on the road, well I guess because I’m always on gear and I will not rev the engine in traffic when in P or N mode. I know there is something wrong with the engine to act like this so somehow I need to fix it. Any suggestion and what is the first thing to look or change? Maintenance is up to date and the things I’ve done so far in this regard are:
· Change air filter
· Replace spark plugs (wires are still in good shape)
· 2 bottles of fuel injector cleaner
· Clean the TB and PCV valve (spay them carb cleaner)

Should be the same on the UK models.....
Upper left of the TB, where the rubber intake hose come in. There should be a flat balde screw head. Could be covered by paint, silicone or something.- this is usually done to keep it from moving once set.
EDIT: or a piece of foam-pic is the 95 EX
