How do you remove the caliper slides?

I'm in the process of doing the front brakes on our '04 Accord and I wanted to lubricate the caliper slide pin, but its got a rubber boot on it and it seems like I'm going to tear that if I try to pull the pin out any further. Are these removable?

Never mind the lip of the boot was just stuck to the pin. DOH!
