How screwed am I? Was trying to replace the slave cylinder.

Well lets see, I couldn't get the clutch pipe off the slave cylinder so I took off the two bolts, then moved the slave cylinder up so I can put my flare nut wrench around it. No matter how much I tried, the stupid expletive nut would not get loosen at all. I sprayed WD-40 on it too and nothing would happen. After a whole bunch of turning and twisting, the clutch pipe that goes into the nut broke off.

Is there anyway for me to just buy that nut and put the clutch pipe into it or do I have to buy a new clutch pipe? It looks like its a short pipe that connects to two ends. What can I do? Is there something I can get at a local hardware store? I went to Pep Boys and Autozone and they didn't have anything useful. Thanks!

you can buy a new nut but you'd have to flare the existing pipe. you might be able to rent a flaring tool. it's probably easier to replace the whole pipe if you're unsure on how to flare the pipe. the pipe may be too short now, and you'd have to modify it anyway to make it work.

Honda sells a prebent pipe. (with nuts) :)

Is there a part number so I can look up the prebent pipe?

Go to www.hondapartsdeals.com and it will give you the OEM part number. I'm sure that the dealership will also be able to look that up for you.

I've seen a post on another forum to use a metal tubing connector (hydraulic shop or hardware store) to splice a new flared tube end onto your old line. You could buy a flared tube end from a salvage yard.

good luck
