Instrument back lighting inop.

I have a 2005 Accord EX V6. About a month ago my shifter position on the center console went out. About a week ago all of my instrument cluster back lighting went out.
I've checked all the fuses and for the life of can't figure out how to fix this.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Vern

Any recent work done to the car - radio or anything like that?

No, nothing other than oil changes. The radio is OEM. And nothing around the time the lights went out. I'm stumped, I tried everything I know but still no luck.

Just so I'm clear, should have asked this the first time around.

You say a month ago the center console went out - was this the back lighting or the whole thing.

Just the backlighting. They don't seem to be connected as they went out at different time.

1. Does turning the dash light brightness controller up (dimmer knob) do anything?

You can recheck under-dash Fuse No. 7 (10A) and No. 21 (7.5A); but, if the gauges and indicators work; but, no gauge backlighting, chances are the fuses are good.

There are 16 separate plcc-2 surface mount LEDs for the gauges; not counting the many more LEDs for the indicators. Unlikely all the LEDs for the separate gauge LEDS would be blown.

If fuses are good, there may be an issue with the power supply circuit/controller area network (CAN) controller built-into the gauge control module (aka instrument cluster).

2. Gear shift console has a replaceable bulb. This link show how to replace:
