ive been told something about putting in a b1? dont even know what that comes in or what it is....maybe a vtec motor would b better? dont know need some advice

The f22b1 engine is the 94-97 accord EX engine. The f22b2 is from the 94-97 LX/DX engine. The 90-93 accord engines are f22a#.

They are all basically the same 2.2L 4-cylinder engine. They are pretty rock solid engines.

How many miles did you put on the engine before the cylinder head cracked? How many miles does the engine have?

What happened that caused the first engine to need replacing?

Hard to tell about the motor that was in it when I got it cuz it wasn't the original and the

Done so go figure I guess just bad luck lol....just got a b1 that's has 115,000 on it for
$200 hope I can get it to work got to figure out how to make 3 round plugs equal 2

any suggestions on that?

You will need an ECU from a 94-95 EX vehicle. The transmissions will have to match up as well (an ECU from an AT 94/95 for a 91 AT). You will need to wire up the vtec. Some the sensors will be in different locations, so you will have to modify the existing wiring harness.

From reading about H22 swaps, there is a difference between the 5th gen driver's side motor mount compared to the 4th generation. You will have to search around to see if this will be a problem and how to solve it.

the motor i got has the full harness on it just dont have the computer....i think its an f22b1 would my tranny from my car fit it?

Any F-series or H-series transmission will BOLT UP.

H-series will have different gearing to match the higher RPM of the H-engine, so you probably don't want that.

Automatic? (you never said) You need to watch compatibility of the trans computer like PA said.
