What were the problems before you started the repair?

There are several TPS related trouble codes. What was the specific trouble code number?

It can be as issue with wiring, connection or the PCM if it wasn't due to the TPS.

I did the same thing as you did, and the same thing happened.

You have a connector wired backward on the transmission. Some of these connectors on the Honda's can plug into a wrong connector. [usually most car makers make sure that a connector can ONLY plug into the correct connecter, but Honda for some reason don't do it with the trans connectors].

Also, you just might have the shifter lever at the transmission adjusted just a bit off.

What are the colors of the three wires going to the TPS?

If the car was fine before. Then during the work you removed the connectors from the TPS and MAP sensor....then after the initial work this new issue showed up.....It is possible to switch the MAP and TPS connectors on 5th AND 6th gen 4 cyl Accords. If this happens, the car will act almost exactly as your description. Just my two cents and costs you nothing but telling us the color or the wires going to the TPS or MAP

Also, the TPS connector is blue, while the MAP sensor connector is gray.

Lol, we both see this same issue a bunch of times on this forum and the "other" forum.
