Low idle and engine cut out

Hey everyone, I've been having a problem the past couple of months where my 91 accord EX idles in drive at around 500 but idles normally when in park and sometimes when try and go from a full stop the rpm's drop and the engine "rumbles" then the rpm's pick back up and the car starts to move. The most troubling thing about all this is that sometimes going from a full stop the rpm's will actually drop completely and the engine stalls.

Any ideas?

(Sorry about the lack of info, I'm kinda in a hurry right now and just wanted too see if anyone had a clue of what this might be)

I would start by cleaning the throttle plate (both sides) and the inside of the throttle body.

There is also the idle air control valve (IACV). It is also called the EACV on your accord. It is #15 in the pic below. Unbolt it and clean any carbon buildup on that metal screen.

I'll try cleaning it out when I get home today, but something I noticed was that there was some oil in with 2 of the spark plugs. Is it possible that its misfiring?

Oil around spark plugs is a common problem and generally does not cause missing. It can be fixed w/ new spark plug tube seals.

good luck
