Lowering My Ride

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I was wondering if it's possible to lower your ride by cranking down the bolt at the top of the shock body, you know, the one you can access from the engine compartment where the shock mounts to the wheel well. It's a 2004 accord coupe (only a 4 cil :( )This is my first car and i love it, but don't have the money to go out and buy springs or shocks. I think if the car was lower it would look really agressive.

Simple answer, no. That nut is tightened down enough and any more will result in damage to threads or worse. Tightening down this bolt will do nothing to lower your vehicle. I feel your pain when it comes to the cash flow but save up and buy some nice lowering springs or coil over setup.

Alright, thanks man. And yeah it's no fun, I'm a kid with $15 a week, even then i still gota work two summers to pay off my parents ^_^ But i love my car, so It's all good. Hey has anyone noticed that when they fill there tank the car handles really well compared to a half full tank, it seems to be a huge difference, anyone felt this too?

that because (if i read here correctly) gas weighs 7LBS/gal. i have a 14 gal tank, which means that at half there is 49 less lbs in the car. So yes theoreticly the car does handle better when full

i never noticed it but thats because i only drove my 04 4cyl for like a month and a half and 4 tanks of gas to and from school so i never really tested the handling but once she gets out of the shop i might try it out a little
