Main SRS unit compatibility
 

Hi. This is my first post on this forum. I live in Canada and I have a 2000 Accord EX V6 4-door. My SRS light came on a couple months ago and it has not come off. I took it took it to a friend who is a certified Honda mechanic and he said the main SRS unit needs to be replaced. He determined this because all other SRS modules connect to the main unit do not function. A new SRS unit is pretty expensive so I looked on Ebay and someone is selling one from his 2000 Accord 4-cylindar 2-door (US version). Will this work on my EX or are these units very specific to each model? If so, what is the correct part number I need for my car? Are they the same in the US and Canada? Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.

they are different , you need to call your local dealer and get the price and part # , make sure to let them know the vin # ,, once you get the part # do a search ..
