maint' req'd light issues
 

hey all, we have a 98 EX 4 cyl. with v-tec. the car has been taken care of immaculately never missing a fluid change or tune up. it has about 97k miles on it and the plugs and wires have just been changed out. last week, i changed the oil and soon after the maint reqd light started to flash for a few seconds after everytime i started the car. today it just stays on solid as soon as the car is started. i have an OBD II scanner, but no codes thrown as i thought being that its a different type of light.

any tips or info on where i should start to diagnose this? thanks in advance.

That's just a service interval light...sounds like you've already had all the services up to date. Reset: with the ignition off, press and hold the select/reset stalk on the cluster. turn ignition on, but don't start car, while still holding down button, hold for an additional 10 seconds until light goes off.
