Default my accord is slowwww, help

Hi, all
I have this 99 accord coupe with 120K miles on it. despite it's sporty and sexy looking, it's quite slow when start from a stop. I'm not going to race it or something like that. It's just embarassing being the last one when the light change to greeeen. I have noticed that the speed meter needle doesnt go up until the tacho meter goes like 2000rpm. but since I dont feel any jerk nor the rpm drops a lot, I assume it's not tranny slipping? am I right? or is there anything else I need to look at. and my MPG is not so good either, I get about 19 driving around city. thx alot [/align]

I'm just worring about being another honda tranny victim. MPG is less an issue comapring to the tranny bill. What I'm experiencing is not tranny slipping, right?

Are you experiencing rough gear changes?

And I,H,E. Is short for, Intake,Header, and Exhaust. You will be hearing that term a lot here.

hi, cjdm98:
thx a lot. I didnt experience any shifting hardness. I can feel it upshift to 2nd gear but it's not too bad and the rpm doesnt drop alot either(drop about 2-300 rpm when upshift to 2nd gear). I'm thinking about put in a can of TSP injector cleaner next time I fill up gas tank and c how it goes.

If theres any local auto part stores in your town try there. I use lucas as well and found it at my small town autostore.
