Default Need help with 04 accord!

This started happening about 3 months ago and I have no idea what is going on. The icon with the airbag lights up almost every time I start my car and remains on, but there are also times when it will be on for a bit and then go away. There are also times when it just wont show up at all. Any helps would be very much appreciated!

Check your warranty booklet. Airbags might have a much longer warranty then the overall car's warranty (which is expired already). Worth a phone call to a dealer?

it's your drivers side seatbelt latch assy. (female portion) same thing is going on with mine. try to buckle the belt before you start the car, if the light comes on and then goes off as it should, that's your problem....the dealer may replace under warranty, but AFTER you pay them to diagnose it. latch is about 50 bucks.

I just had similar problems on my '04 EX but not same as Dr D mentions.
Do you have any fuses blown at all, anything not working?

Had 2 months of fuse #21 blowing, and there was an odd sequence to starting and putting car in gear that makes that icon come on or go away and sometime come on and then go away a bit while driving.

It had something to do with starting your car in AC I or AC II position when we were putting it in neutral to start or something like that. it was very strange.
Just found problem and fixed car yesterday, I'll let you know if we continue to have that issue.

But also, is that strictly the PASSENGER airbag warning icon?

I'll try doctor's suggestion. As for calling my local dealership they said they would have to do a diagnosis and it would cost me $150 :\.

no, it's for the entire airbag system, there is however a "side airbag off" light if the vehicle is so equipped.

The seat belt buckle issue is a relatively common issue for some 7th gen. Accords. A internet search will reveal how some people had it covered, while others cleaned theirs, etc.

I had an 03 Accord, and that would happened depending what was on the passenger seat. My briefcase, bags of groceries, etc would trigger the light. When the seat was empty or someone was in it, no light. I wrote it off to a bad sensor.
