Need help

I just bought a 1996 honda accord with a v6 automatic. It is a great car and i love it. The only problem I have is the Tail Lights stays on all the time, even when I turn the key off. At this point I dont have much money so I am trying to fix it myself. I disconected the wire plug that goes to the switch but it still stays on, so I dont think it is the switch. I think there might be a relay somewhere that is stuck on but I dont know where it would be. PLEASE HELP IF ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS.

Welcome new member!

Is it the brake lights? Try unplugging the switch above the brake pedal. That switch may have come loose from it's bracket or maybe the switch is bad.

Thanks for looking in my post. No it is not the brake lights, they work fine. The problem is with park lights, the dash lights and the front park light along with the rear park light(tail lights) stays on all the time. I have to disconnect the battery cables to turn them off, every time i park the car.

Turn the switch off.
Pull fuse #32 underhood fuse panel 15 amp.
If the lights shut off, I would be suspect of the headlight switch.
To check the switch; remove the steering column shroud [screws underneath] then check for power output from the switch Pin #11 Red/black wire, check with the fuse in AND the fuse out.
If you find power with the fuse out.........something is backfeeding the circuit.
