NEED HELP WITH DADS 98 sedan
 

hey guys whats up, im new to this site but not new to hondas. i currently have a prelude and my dad has a 98 accord. i was hoping that you guys could help me out with a problem he recently has been having. for a month now my dads car has been shutting off while driving. like all of a sudden the rpms go to 0, turn signals dont work, nothing. so he has to turn on his hazards, pull over to the side and put the car in park and then start the car up again. today we went to 2 stores in my town and in that time it happened 3 times. its actually pretty scary bc he drives 30 min to work on the park way monday-friday and he says it happens to him there too occasionally. so if anyone has any input on whats going on here please help! thanks alot guys

See if you can get the car to stall out by shaking the key while the engine is running.

Also stop by a parts store and have them scan for codes. Write down any codes, then post the code on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, like P1234.

When it does this, what lights are "on", on the dash
