Need help on what kind of o2 sensor is needed for 97' accord lx with h22a

I just bought a 97' 4 door sedan Accord Lx, and it needs an o2 sensor, i wouldnt normaly have a problem knowing which kind to buy except the original engine of the accord was replaced with a 97' prelude h22a (non v-tech) so im not sure what kind to get now? i do not know what style the original engine was and if that matters now with getting a new o2 sensor, or if i now should be looking for one that is compatible with the h22a engine? thanks any help would be much appriciated!

If the old o2 worked just fine that you have in there...take it out and take it to say AutoZone or NAPA and have them take a look at it..it should be stamped with a part number that they can cross reference..:)

yeah that would be a good idea! but it doesnt have an o2 sensor in it at all right now, so thats why im so lost in where to begin haha.

Looking at the parts quickly at Majestic Honda the Accords one was in the exhaust manifold and the Prelude was in the exhaust pipe. Does the exhaust manifold have a place for an O2 sensor?

yes it does!

What about a set of o2 simulators??? Could be a good alternative for you if you are unable to figure it out...

From what you have posted I would go with the Accord one, but that is a guess without seeing your car. The sensor on my 95 was a Denso brand and if had known that beforehand would have gotten it aftermarket rather than from the dealership.

which o2 sensor does it need ?? primary ,, ( in the exh manifold) or secondary ( in the frt pipe or cat ),,,,,,like KRIS said, get a Denso brand from an import part store,, a lot cheaper than dealer ,,Do not get a universal sensor get an OEM style all you got to do it plug it in,, universal style you have to splice the wiring together to the old connector ,,
