Hey everyone, I just bought a 99 Accord v6 vtech w/ auto transmission. whenever i get out of first gear into second, there would be a small studdering feelingwith a thump kinda sound. anyone knows whats the problem???

Have you ever changed your transmission fluid? If not try that....1997 and up accords are known for transmittion problems. DO NOT FLUSH!

common problems related to your symptom are of course - a bad transmission. also- bad front(radiator side) and passenger side motor mounts.

does the problem happen when driving it gently when fully warmed up?

yea its fully warmed up and stil does it. I'm gonna get my fliuds checked today. i also noticed that when i floor it, it studders more crazy.

what is a studder to you? a hesitation feeling? a lag before it accelerates? or a repeated shaking motion?

it's possible the egr valve is sticking and hasn't coded yet also. have it looked at.

its a lil rough inbetweens gears.

well, that doesn't make sense to me. is it banging, downshifting hard....? either way, when it fails completely you'll know.

downshifting is a lil hard too. like weh u kno ur gonna shift, i feel the car kinda jerk a lil.
