New 2016 Accord Ex Drifting and Steering problem

Hi,

I bought a new 2016 Accord Ex CVT about 3 weeks back from Honda Oakland (CA). When I drive it on freeways at speed of 60-65mph, the car is really unstable and drifts to the right. I got my car checked through the dealer's service and they say it is not an issue after a drive on the freeway. Though I have got my friends and colleagues drive the car and they have the same feedback as mine.

Has anyone faced the same problem? Also, can someone please suggest what should I do next ?

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

Swap front tires L-R, R-L and drive. If pull changes to opposite direction, then tires are problem. Sometimes rotating front tires to back will help.

If drift does not change direction, then front end alignment (usually camber) is the problem. Camber was not adjustable on earlier model accords, don't know about 16's.

good luck

Thanks for the quick Reply TexasHonda. I will try it.

Coupe or sedan?

My '16 Accord EX Coupe 4-cyl CVT (purchased Apr'16 in the Bay Area) also drifts to the right at freeway speed. The dealer told me it's "normal".

I don't think so, and the Honda Sensing LKAS keeps correcting it.

Mine is a sedan. I went to the dealer again today. Took a drive again on freeway and he said it drifts to right but very slightly. He asked me to come again on Wednesday to get alignment fixed.

Does the 16 accord Ex have a lane sensing? My dealer says it does not.

Glad they're going to fix it for you. Guess I'll have to take mine in and ask them to test drive it again...

You have lane sensing only if you got the optional, factory installed Honda Sensing package. My Coupe has that package.

Yeah, mine is without lane sensing.

I was quite persistent that it is a safety issue. I hope alignment fixes it.
