New Guy...Surging Idle, NEED HELP!!!

I have a 1994 accord EX, with the 2.2L Vtec followed by a 5 speed and over 200k miles on it (odometer stopped at 215K) I bought it cheap cheap and should've looked into it more, but i digress....

I've made it run better until one day the idle got up to around 2k RPM and never came back down...I was thinking sticky throttle so I mashed it a few times, hoping it would come down, but still a high idle...figured out the Service light showed a Throttle position sensor issue. Got under the hood to inspect, it wasn't even hooked up...so i connected it and that where the fun began, bouncing from 900, to almost 2k

Prior to that it lacked power so i had changed plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter. which helped tremendeously.

But since the idle issue, I've changed the Air Intake to one meant for that car, the Throttle Position Sensor, the MAP Sensor, and after finding a mouse nest next to the ECM, I changed it out as well thinking perhaps the had urinated on it and got it wet and fried something.

I've been told EGR Valve may be faulty and to try cleaning the Throttle body, but i'm afraid to waste time/money doing that if its not the answer, I've spent enough money on what other people suggested.

I'm hitting a wall and I really need some help guys/gals. PLEASE!?!?!?!?

See the "Common DIY and Other Info. Threads" sticky at the top of the forum in regards to IACV Cleaning and FITV cleaning.

And after cleaning those, be sure the coolant level is fine and that there is not any air in the cooling system.

In that sticky redbull-1 mentioned, there is a link that describes checking engine codes. Let us know what codes you are getting.

There is also a link for an online shop manual, where you can get a pdf for a 94 accord that will help as well.
