New - Las Vegas 1994 Accord EX w/ MT
Hey guys. I just got a 1994 Accord as a daily driver to keep miles off my other vehicle. It needs a few repairs - obviously a car at this age has cosmetic blemishes. It has 191K miles and I plan to get at least 300K out of her.
I plan to: swap the drivers side CV axle fix minor oil leak from valve cover and distributor O-rings change the VSS change the spark plugs do a timing belts change w/ new tensioners and water pump fuel filter If there is any useful tips/tricks for any of the above or something else I should consider please let me know. -John |

I would clean the EGR ports. See the link in the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech help forum for a link to a thread on how to do this.

Seems like I've been buying cars with 180 - 200K on em too.
I always change all fluids unless they look clean (power steering fluid I don't, my bad). MT and rad coolant are easy for prior owners to have overlooked. In hot sun Vegas, I'd probably put tint on the windows |
The only tip I can give is don't get a fel-pro valve cover gasket. They messed up on the size of it and made it too big, and makes it a real pain to get it installed and not leak.
