Question New Power Steering pump problems

Ok just got a new pump and belt for the power steering. Noise is gone and driving is fine.

But when im at a stop or coming out of a parking space the turning is really hard.

What could be wrong now?

Did you replace the old fluid with Honda power steering fluid? Does the fluid have a lot of air bubbles? Do you hear any strange noises?

There is a flow control valve which causes steering effort to increase as speed increases. It may be stuck, inner orifiice blocked, or damaged. The Honda shop manual describes how to remove and inspect. You might consider removing this valve from your old pump and installing on replacement pump.

If you don't have a Honda Shop Manual, check the Online Manuals links in the DIY forum for a download.

good luck
