Nubie Needs Help With D4 Flashing
Like the title says, I need help with this issue. The problem I am having is the D4 Flashes & Trans just has D4 unless you shift it in 2nd. No slipping issues. Reverse works also. I jumped the 2 wire plug under the glove box. I took a video with my phone. I need help reading the codes. I want to trade this car in for a newer accord but I would like to fix this problem if possible. Click on pict, It should take you to my photobucket to play video.

Help!! |
There were three codes that flashed: 13, 3, then 8.
13 - A problem between the TCU and ECU 3 - Throttle position sensor 8 - Shift solenoid B problem. If I had to guess, something may be wrong with the TCU. The reason I say this is that code 3 should also cause the Check Engine Light to flash a code. From you video, it didn't. Look for dirty loose connections on the TCU and ECU |

Checked the terminals on the TCU all looks good. Same problem. Ok found some cheap TCU units on ebay. Don't have any problems with the speedo. Could it be my Main shaft Speed Pulse Gen, Shift Solenoid??? Should I change All?? Want to get her done. PS: Does the 94 EX, LX ect.. use the same TCU
Thanks |
I think that the 94 and 95 EX computers are the same.
Go to a site like hondapartsnow.com and look up the OEM part number for your car. If you click on the part number, the next page will have links on the bottom showing the cars that have the same part numbers (sort of a cross-reference search). |
LX, EX Same??
|
It looks like only the 94 and 95 EX have the same part number.
