O2 sensors on '97 accord?

As far as i know there are two on my car and i hit a large puddle and now have a check engine code for heated O2 sensor. are they both heated? i just want to make sure i buy the proper sensor and install it in the proper location.

Thanks

Primary O2 - Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction.....so test the front (assume 4 cyl here) one.....EDIT: after testing, try resetting and see if the code comes back....could be the water caused a temp fault.

Definitely buy a cheap scanner and clear the code. There is a chance it won't come back. That happened to me.

Code won't clear with the reader or battery disconnected. I noticed the engine idling rough since the light came on as well.

Is the primary O2 you speak of the one On the the front of exhaust manifold?

Yes, primary will be at the exhaust manifold....again assume 4 cyl since you do not have that info in your signature,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Test it, if bad then replace.

Im surprised it doesnt clear at all it should clear on a 97 and then when you start the car it may come back on quickly maybe it comes on so quickly that it appears to have never been off. Ive had the same code on my 96 accord and replaced the 02 sensor on the exhaust manifold and it went away. Although my car was running fine when the code went off. Amazon sells the denso ones pretty cheap if I recall that is what I put on mine.

Denso makes the factory O2 sensors for Honda so that's a good brand.

Nickmg, you never answered whether it's a 4-cyl or V-6. If it's a 4-cyl, the primary sensor is on the exhaust manifold.

With a 1997 you can clear the code by disconnecting the battery. (Have the stereo security code, etc) Beginning in 2003, you need a scanner because of non-volatile memory.
