Default Odd Noise While Turning

I just got a '93 Accord as a commuter car and after owning it about a week it's developed an odd noise while turning. It's coming from the front left, near as I can tell, and almost sounds like rubber on metal rubbing kind of sound. I've checked to the best of my ability and see nothing obvious. It only makes the sound while the vehicle is in motion. Full rotation of steering wheel from one extreme to the other fails to produce any sounds. Doesn't affect the steering or handling at all, it's just annoying sounding. Any thoughts?

You can start by checking for excess rust buildup on the rotors that may be rubbing on either a caliper component or the backing plate. Sometimes a dry ball joint will make a weird sound and it is usually the lower ball. Also, after driving the car you can check the power steering reservoir to see if there is air bubbles on the surface of the fluid which would indicate an issue with the system. These are just some places to start looking.
