Im sure it has been asked many times before.
Just got an accord 03 in uk never owned Honda before and i see that everyone says to check oil when engine warm, so i get to work after 12 mile drive and check, just over top hole. When i check at lunch with cold engine and all oil settled it is down to bottom hole. Is this right?
All previous cars have suggested to check oil when settled and cold, why is the Honda different.
I want to get this right so I don’t wreck the engine. Thanks

 

Sounds like you are ok....I do check it warm, but after about 5 minutes.
