Default '93 accord flashing D light

Hi guys, I'm new here. I have a '93 accord, fuel inj., automatic. Lately when I go to start the car, when I turn on the key, the green box around the drive indicator is blinking, and then the car only turns over and seems like it is not getting any fuel.I have left it set for awhile, and sometimes the light is off and the car starts and runs normal. Twice I sprayed gas into the intake hose and the car started and keep running, but the light kept blinking, and when I was driving the trans seemed to be slipping, but if I pulled out in low and shifted to drive it was okay. When I got home and left it set it started okay. This is starting to happen on a more regular basis. What should I look for or change? When the light is off the car runs great!

On the top of the gen tech help forum, open the Common DIY Index. There is a link in there on how to check engine codes. In your case, count the check engine light and the D4 light. Tell us which light flashes which code.
