opinion on when to reset TB tensioner?

I just put my 2000 SE (2.3 AT) back on the road after changing the water pump, belts and tensioners. The new belt was pretty stiff and I presume I should loosen and retighten the tensioner nut at some point after the belt has had a chance to settle into its new home. Would you share your opinion of how many miles I should wait to retension? I also have an AT question that I will post as a separate thread. Standing by...

there is no need to drive car for a while and then reset the t-belt if it was adjusted properly when installed

loosen the 14 mm adjuster nut,, get a 19mm socket. long extension and a rachet,, once nut is loose,, turn the crank counter clock wise ( toward frt of car) to remove the slack , tighten adjuster nut and u are done ..
